"Nez Perce Trail" Yellowstone's Pelican Valley through Clarks Fork Canyon
Stan's research was finished November, 1998, and along with that two 18 x 17 laminated maps were completed with the able assistance of Bob Bolin, a map specialist and artist. Two maps make up the set of maps depicting the Nez perce route from Pelican Valley in Yellowstone Park through the Clarks Fork Canyon. The maps show camp sites, streams, valleys, and mountain peaks with elevations. Interpretive notes help to understand and interpret the actions of the Nez Perce and military forces of General Howard and Colonel Sturgis. The maps are lamintated for field use to aid with field activies for individuals wanting to follow the "Nez Perce Trail" through this pristine and majestic area. Or, the maps may also be framed to provide an attractive addition to any decour.
