Our children's program allows young people to experience ranch life and come to understand its connections to the natural world. Ecological relationships are taught by example and daily practice on hikes and rides. We introduce children to the world of livestock and horses at an early age. Patient wranglers take great care to help young children build their confidence and comfort levels with horses and other livestock. In the mornings, younger children may fetch eggs, play with the family dogs, or frolic by the crystal brook that runs through the yard. Older children are active participants in all ranch activities. Their carefree laughter, energy and enthusiasm are a constant delight to all of us at the 7 D.
(Childcare services are provided to families needing this service during riding hours. Childcare services at other times are available for a nominal fee.)
